We need collective care more than ever. We need to learn how to better take care of ourselves, each other and the world around us, prioritize ease, kindness, and solidarity instead of scarcity, urgency, toxicity and competition.
We created the Collective Care Open Space with us all in mind, with a deep desire of nourishing our movements, and supporting each other to prioritize care in our activism.
We know that current models that leave us burnt out and depleted are not working for us or for the change we want to create. We want to come together and (re)imagine how the world would look if we prioritized our self and collective wellbeing?
What might our activism look like if we centered pleasure, deep listening, and joy? How might we make space for different possibilities of being with each other? How can we be present with each other? Embrace our differences, find common ground?
For all those of us in exploration of finding different, emergent ways of being in right relationship with ourselves, each other and the world, we hope that this space will nourish and enrich your body, soul, mind.

We have 13 sessions facilitated by feminists from all over the world ready for you to explore. Read more about them here, and think which ones you would like to attend. We are continuing to add new sessions as they come. The sessions are meant as explorations of certain perspectives, topics, and practices. They are an invitation to widen our horizons.
There is space for more conversations if needed. We keep the agenda open for what emerges, so get in touch if you still want to propose a topic.
A few logistical details:
-
The event happens in 2 time slots, as our community is spread across the globe. Each time slot will have different sessions, so if you want you can attend both;
-
In each time slot we will begin by grounding and explaining how the space will unfold, and then have two rounds of parallel conversations or practices of about 40 min each. There will be a break in between, and a closing moment in the end.
-
In each session there will be a support person that you can ask questions or help for moving to another session.
-
Each person will select which session they want to attend, and will be moving from space to space freely in Zoom. The facilitator, note taker, and support person will remain in the same room. Please read the tech instructions in advance for ease of process.
-
There will be Spanish, Arabic, and French interpretation available in the main room in Zoom. All other sessions will either be in English or in another language. This will be specified in the description of each session.

Open Space Principles:
-
Whoever comes are the right people: if a session has 5 people or 20, that is exactly how it should be. Go to the session that most interests or challenges you- you decide!
-
Whatever happens is the only thing that could have happened: no pressure to do more or different, what happens is the result of what we all bring to a session and of the quality of the present moment- embrace it!
-
Whenever it starts is the right time: some sessions are more intense, others more fluid and flexible, let’s be with the pace and cadence of the group, time is magic!
-
Whenever it’s over, it’s over: if the conversation finishes before the 40 minutes it is ok, you can move to another session! If you need more time and would like to continue the conversation with the same group- ask the support persons to create a new breakout room for you!
Open Space is OPEN, fluid, and co-created! We invite you to bring with you flexibility and care for the process.
We have only one governing ‘law’ for this space, the Law of mobility, which says:
If you find yourself someplace you aren’t learning or contributing, move somewhere you can!
We encourage you to find the right way for you to participate, share and learn.
Please read the session descriptions as well as the document explaining the logistical aspects of participating
